1. Geomapping Plus – the DIY online mapping platform for schools

Our online mapping platform – Geomapping Plus is designed to equip schools with a powerful, data-driven tool for market share visualisation and more informed, strategic marketing planning. By transforming enrolment data into clear, interactive insights, schools can better understand their catchment areas, identify growth opportunities, and refine their outreach efforts with confidence.

Currently, 60 schools are subscribed to the Level 4 platform, with their enrolment data updated annually to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance. We are actively working with one-third of these schools that have already provided their data and are benefiting from early insights, while the remaining two-thirds are progressing through the onboarding pipeline, with full implementation anticipated towards the end of the year.

3. Somerset Education Financial Survey for Schools

Spectrum Analysis are always proud to work with Somerset Education as we are both dedicated to using data to make better business decisions.

John Somerset and his company are the gurus of Financial Benchmarking for schools. If you have a Business or Finance Manager role at your school, John’s work gives you a way to compare yourselves (all anonymously) with other schools of similar proportions to yourselves.

If you want to compare yourself (maybe with 800 students and fees of $10K pa) you can look at the financial ratios of a selection of schools similar to you and see where you sit against the averages.

Looking at operating surpluses, liquidity, debt, staff and many other financial measurements may be something you were used to but have not had the opportunity to do in a school environment. As a former oil industry executive, we ALWAYS did benchmarking for our service stations to assist them in their financial planning. Just to keep himself out of trouble, John is also working on his PhD around school financial sustainability.
