Melinda Shepherd Post Grad Dip of Science (Applied Statistics) joined Spectrum Analysis in March 2005, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Science in Applied Statistics from Swinburne University, where she learned how to use Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software for statistical analysis and survey design.
Her initial role at Spectrum Analysis involved market analysis of large and small company owned franchise businesses. She would conduct site visits and collect data to determine what makes a good store for various clients (including cafés, white goods retailers, clothing stores, car repairers and more) and build strong prediction models to predict future site success based on designing well-researched territories.
Melinda continues to support her franchise territory planning clients and now focuses more of her time on analysing information for independent schools across Australia.

- school analyses
- territory planning
- market analyses
- updating territories
- providing demographic data
- developing Business Hit Lists and other relevant reports
- producing print ready PDF and online interactive Keyhole Markup Language (KML) maps
