4. Census 2021 – what to expect and when
Our Chief Data Scientist, Anubhav Tewari tells us that the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is currently processing data from the 2021 Census and completing quality assurance. Once completed, they will release the results in three phases:

  1. In June 2022, the key demographic, cultural diversity and health data variables will be released. The data required for a vast majority of our clients is typically available after the first Census data release.
  2. In October 2022, the employment, educational qualifications and internal migration data variables will be released.
  3. In early to mid-2023, complex data such as socio-economic indexes for areas (SEIFA) will be released.

It will only take us two – three weeks after the first Census data is released to update our systems. We look forward to providing updates to our clients in the second half of 2022.

5. Welcome to Tuan Nguyen
