2. Our bespoke Online Mapping Tool – Updated with 2021 Census and the latest ACARA data!
We are excited to let our members and clients know that our online mapping tool has been updated with the latest data sets and many new features. We have listened to your feedback and incorporated this into our update.
The data is displayed in user-friendly tables. We have a Total Enrolment to Full Time Staff Ratio, and you can now see at a glance for all schools how they have tracked with enrolments between 2008-2021. For each sector, we have count and % of students attending school type Based on ABS Census Data from 2006, 2011, 2016, 2021. You can also see the fees for all schools and much much more!

3. 2021 ABS Census Data Release – How is your area growing?
The first tranche of the 2021 Census data was released by the ABS on 28 June 2022. It includes data about most of the topics covered by the Census (e.g., age, income, marital status, religious affiliation, and country of birth) and we are entering the Census data into our internal systems.
We have identified the top 10 suburbs which have seen the most population growth in the five major capital cities. For this exercise only the suburbs which had a population of greater than 500 people in 2016 were shortlisted.
The following suburbs bagged the top two spots in each city:

The second release of the 2021 Census is expected in October 2022. That release will cover information about topics including employment and some location-based variables.
The third release is expected in early to mid-2023 and will cover information about derived variables such as the Socio-Economic Indexes For Areas (SEIFA).
4. LinkedIn Specialist Event – LinkedIn for Students and Future Graduates
Sue Ellson will share LinkedIn strategies for students and future graduates at this $0 Online Webinar on 10 August 2022 from 12pm – 1pm AEST. The slides and recording will be sent to all registered guests (some who may be at EduTECH at the same time).
